We are pleased to confirm the following programme:

Monday 2nd April – 8.00 pm
An illustrated talk entitled “Planet Earth – the Early Years” to be given by Professor Hugh Rollinson, Head of the Earth Sciences Department at Sultan Qaboos University.
Venue: PDO Oil and Gas Exhibition Centre

Monday 16th April – 8.00 pm
An illustrated talk entitled “Omani-Dutch Relations during the Ya’rubi Dynasty, 1624-1744” by Dr Mohammed bin Saad al Muqadam, Asst. Professor, Department of History, Sultan Qaboos University.
Venue: PDO Oil and Gas Exhibition Centre

Geological Society of Oman Lecture – Tuesday 27th March.
“Application of Stratigraphic Forward Modeling to Carbonate Strat – Uses for Exploration and Production” by Dr George Warrlich of PDO.

Get clicking! We would like to remind all our members (and friends) of our theme for the HAO calendar 2008 – this will be “Traditional buildings of Oman - preservation is part of our heritage”.
